Title Insurance

Equity National ensures that the equity position in each mortgage transaction is fully protected, Choose from our in-house title insurance products or those offered through our relationships with the country’s largest and most reliable title underwriters. 

What you can expect 

Equity National offers title insurance products for both refinance and purchase transactions.  A title insurance commitment is developed, following a search of the subject property. The policy is created based on the real estate records, which detail ownership, a description of the property and any additional requirements.

Mortgage Filing

  • Includes search of the public records from the effective date of the report or commitment through the current “as of” date of the appropriate county courthouse (optional)
  • The mortgage will be recorded and returned to the Client by the applicable county registrar

Commitment

  • Shows certified owner, legal description, tax information, liens, judgments and mortgages
  • Indicates conditions that must be satisfied in order to clear title
  • Indicates if other information is required (i.e. affidavits, resolutions, mortgage satisfactions, etc.)

Title Policy

  • Shows terms and conditions of insurance
  • An ALTA Lender’s Short Form Policy electronically in all states where it is available
