Charitable Giving
Encouraging Philanthropy by Example
Doing more and giving back to our communities is a central value to the Equity
Philosophy. Though we operate at the national level, making an impact locally is fundamental to who we are and what we believe in. We know that we can make the greatest impact on our communities by supporting causes that are important to our employees and their families.
Equity provides financial and volunteer support to dozens of charitable and community-focused organizations. Our goal is to make giving contagious.
Our Service Day Program makes it possible for our employees to dedicate a workday to providing service to a not-for-profit or charitable organization of their choice. These experiences are shared during our monthly company meetings, in hopes that others will be inspired to give back.
Every Friday, we sponsor a Cash for Jeans Day with 100% of the proceeds donated to a charity of choice. From time to time Equity identifies a particular cause, one that is “close to home” and match employee donations dollar for dollar.
Our employees choose the charities that Equity supports at the beginning of each year. A few of the local ones include Crossroads Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Food Bank
